Track 2. Go full Codex: 5 hour build FAQ
Q. I live overseas. Will accommodation be provided if my team is shortlisted?
Meals, snacks, and drinks will be provided during the in-person event in Seoul on August 31.
Accommodation is not provided, so participants traveling from overseas or other regions will need to make their own arrangements.
Q. I joined Track 1 as a team. Can only team representative participate in Track 2?
Yes. Track 2 is designed for one representative from each shortlisted team to take part in the on-site challenge using Codex.
Only the invited representative may enter the venue and join on-site programs. However, collaboration with other Track 1 team members through messaging or real-time communication is allowed.
How each team chooses to collaborate is up to them. The on-site representative should follow all event guidelines and venue rules.
Q. Is Track 2 required for shortlisted teams?
No. Participation in Track 2 is optional.
That said, joining Track2 is encouraged as part of the full in-person experience in Seoul. Track 2 is a separate challenge where participants use Codex to create something new based on a theme revealed on-site.
Q. Can I attend only part of the event?
Participants are expected to attend the full program on August 31, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
If you need to leave or step away for an unavoidable reason, please contact the organizers before the event.
Q. What should I know about copyrights and game assets?
You must have the necessary rights or permissions for all code, images, videos, music, fonts, data, open-source materials, AI-generated content, and third-party assets used in your game.
Your submission must not infringe third-party rights, including copyright, trademarks, privacy, likeness, or trade secrets.
Violations may result in:
Submission rejection
Disqualification from judging
Removal of the submission from public display
Removal from the shortlist
Award cancellation
For parodies or references to existing games, avoid directly using protected names, characters, or trademarks where possible.
Example: Summoners War Angelmon → A round, cute angel monster
Q. How will Track 2 winners be selected?
Track 2 submissions made on-site will be put to an on-site vote, with winners selected based on the results.
Details about the selecting process will be shared at the event.
Q. Will accessibility support be available?
Yes. After shortlisted teams are announced, participants can share any accessibility needs in advance.
Support will be provided where possible based on event operations and available resources.
If support is needed, please contact the organizers after receiving the shortlist notification.
